Torque is an important parameter of the special oil pump motor of the gear pump. The torque under different conditions reflects the different performance of the motor. The motor torque includes rated torque, starting torque, stall torque and maximum torque. Today, Dalan Motor is small. Edited for everyone to share knowledge.
Motor torque and performance:
First, the rated torque
At rated voltage and rated load, the torque generated on the motor shaft is called the rated torque of the motor.
Second, the starting torque
The moment the motor is applied to the motor in the stopped state, the torque generated by the motor is called the starting torque. The starting torque characterizes the starting ability of the motor, which is related to the starting mode (such as step-down starting, AC motor frequency conversion speed starting, winding motor series resistance starting, etc.). For the squirrel cage motor that is directly started, the starting torque is generally 0.8-2.2 times the rated torque. Normally, the starting torque should be 1.25 times the rated torque, and the corresponding starting current is 5-6 times the rated current.
For large DC motors, the starting torque is particularly large, so the starting current is also large, so large DC motors should not be started directly, and should be started with a reduced voltage. The exception is small DC motors and permanent magnet motors.
Third, the maximum torque
The maximum torque is the junction point between the motor torque stable zone and the unsteady zone. If the load torque is greater than the maximum torque, the output torque of the motor will become smaller and enter the stalled state. At this point, the current will be large and the motor will be burned.
Fourth, the stall torque
After the motor enters the locked state, the speed is zero, and the torque that the motor can output is the stall torque.
The relationship between different state torques:
The ratio of the maximum torque to the rated torque reflects the overload capability of the motor.
The maximum torque and the stall torque are two important performance indicators to measure the performance of the motor, and should be reasonably selected according to the actual working conditions.
The greater the maximum torque, the stronger the overload capability of the motor, but the motor volume and material will also increase.
It is beneficial to have a large stall torque, especially for large motors. Generally, the moment of inertia of the motor is relatively large. If the stall torque is relatively large, the motor starts more quickly and the rotation is more comfortable. However, the locked torque is not as large as possible. Excessive blocking torque will cause harmful impact on the equipment, and the starting current of the motor will increase a lot, causing a great impact on the power grid.
Therefore, when designing the motor, it is necessary to select an appropriate value and reserve a certain margin according to the actual working conditions.
