Mixed-flow pump is what kind of pump? What are the similarities and differences between centrifugal pumps and axial flow pumps?

The mixed flow pump is a type of pump that is located between the centrifugal pump and the axial flow pump. According to the different structure of the pump casing, it can be divided into volute type mixed flow pump and guide vane mixed flow pump. The structure of the mixed-flow pump, no matter what kind of form, is also composed of five parts: the impeller, the pump casing, the pump shaft, the bearing and the packing sealing device. The volute-type mixed-flow pump looks like a centrifugal pump; the guide vane-type mixed-flow pump looks like a vertical axial-flow pump. Mixed-flow pump impeller shape is short, it is part of the centrifugal pump impeller; part of the impeller is like an axial pump, the blade is a spiral twisted blade, the flow path between the impeller blades is wider, the blade outlet edge is inclined, it and the centrifugal pump and Axial pump impeller flow conditions are different. Water flows in the impeller of the mixed-flow pump. It flows in the axial direction and flows out in an inclined direction. Therefore, the mixed-flow pump is also called a diagonal flow pump.
There are two types of pump casings: one is the volute type, for example, the HB type mixed flow pump is basically the same as the centrifugal pump, but its pump body is large and is used horizontally; the other is cylindrical, such as guide vane type Mixed-flow pumps, agricultural pump, similar to the vertical axial flow pump, the pump body is also equipped with guide vanes, vertical installation use.
Because the shape of the impeller of the mixed flow pump is between the centrifugal pump and the axial flow pump, the blades are twisted again. We know that water flows in the impeller of the centrifugal pump, and it flows radially out in the axial direction; the water flows in the impeller of the axial flow pump and it goes axially out in the axial direction. The flow in the mixed-flow pump impeller is oblique. Therefore, when the mixed-flow pump impeller rotates in water, the blades generate both centrifugal force and lift force. When the impeller rotates, it acts as a mixed-flow pump, which transfers the power of the power machine to the water. To make water gain energy, it has a certain flow and head, so that the water can be transported from a low place to a high place or far away, and the farmland can be drained or irrigated.
