When processing hot-filled hearing, PET, and large-open containers, packers found that the traditional LN2 nozzles were prone to splashing large quantities of product when pressurized, so that each packaged product varied in internal pressure. Cryotech International has introduced the latest solution to this problem, which will be introduced to the public at the seminar held at the Expo Expo in October this year.
Cryotech's latest SoftDose(TM) liquid nitrogen dosing technology controls how the LN2 liquid nitrogen dose is injected into the packaging container and how to effectively solve product splash problems. This method is not only effective for hot-filled products, but also improves the quality of granular product packaging. Previous dosing methods often caused products to spill out of containers and cause losses. Through the application of this technology, the pressure in each filling product can be consistent.
The technology was developed by Cryotech in collaboration with Graham Packaging and Martinelli, and also earned Cryotech the 2006 DuPont Packaging Innovation Award for its successful application to Martinelli's new PET apple cider vessel.
