Detailed Billiton metering pump repair steps, Milton Metrology pump repair guide 1 Milton Roller metering pump repair preparation 1.1 The stroke handle to 0%. If the stroke lock screw (part 320) is locked, loosen the lock screw. 1.2 Turn off the power to ensure that the device will not be accidentally activated. 1.3 Disconnect the metering pump inlet and outlet check valves and system connections. 2 Replacing the Check Valve (GM0002 ~ GM0050 PVC & PVDF Pump Heads) 2.1 Removing the Valve Body from the Pump Head (370) 2.2 Removing the Check Valve Assembly: Includes Ball Valve (357), Seat (360A), Valve (361A), O-ring (361B), and gasket (361) 2.3 Clean valve body (360) and pump head (370) Threaded port 2.4 Insert new gasket (361) into valve body Direction of the new one-way valve is shown on the outlet side of the pump. Insert the one-way valve assembly into the threaded port of the pump head. The O-ring should be installed outside the one-way valve body and on the valve seat side. Screw the valve body into the pump head. Do not screw too tight. Import side: the check valve assembly into the one-way valve body. The O-ring should be mounted outside the check valve body on the opposite side of the seat, with the check valve assembly and body screwed into the pump head inlet. Do not screw too tight. 3 Replacing the Valve Ball, Seat and Sealing (GM0090-GM0500 PVC & PVDF Pump Head) 3.1 Disassembly: 1) Unscrew the connector gland (008) and the gland fixed connector (432) can be easily connected to other parts of the pump head separate. 2) Unscrew the check valve assembly from the pump head (370). 3) Screw the gland into one to two turns on the valve seat side of the body (003). Make sure the gland is loose and keep a clearance from the seat (024) so that the gland can be removed when removing the valve seat. 4) Place the valve body and gland on a flat surface with gland under. When viewed from the top of the body, it can be seen that there are four large holes around the center with a small hole in which a thin blunt tool such as a hexagonal wrench is inserted until it rests on the top of the ball (473). 5) Tap the tool with the hammer until the valve ball, valve seat and body separation. WARNING: If the removed parts are for inspection only, be sure to tap with a blunt tip tool to avoid damaging the valve ball. If the ball is damaged during disassembly, the valve seat should be replaced. To avoid damage, if compressed air is available, remove the ball and valve seat with compressed air at the opposite end of the seat (024). 6) Carefully remove the O-ring (438) from body to seat. 7) Carefully clean all parts for reuse. 3.2 Reassembly: WARNING: The order of the inlet and outlet check valves is different. Improper assembly can cause (A) serious damage to the mechanical structure of the metering pump immediately. (B) No Delivery (C) Reverse Infusion (Infusion from outlet to inlet) 1) Insert the ball (437) into the lumen of body (003). 2) Place the valve body on a flat surface with the valve ball side up. Place the seat (024) on the body with the beveled side facing outwards. When the valve seat is pressed into the valve body, the valve ball should sit on the sharp edge of the valve seat, and the slope should not be inside the valve body. With a flat plate applied to the valve seat pressure steady pressure valve body. If the valve seat is not properly installed, the valve ball will not establish a seal, resulting in abnormal work. 3) Insert O-ring (438) between valve body (003) and seat (024) WARNING: Check-valve threads must not be covered with PTFE tape to prevent the O-rings from compressing and causing leakage. 4) The correct reset connector (432) to determine the valve inlet and outlet in the pump installation direction. Insert gland (008) and tighten it by hand. 5) Screw in the check valve assembly by hand and do not over tighten. 4 Replacing the diaphragm (GM0002 ~ GM0050) 4.1 Before marking the inlet and outlet of the pump head, remove the pump head screw (103) and the pump head assembly (370). 4.2 Remove the cover of the motor blade and turn the motor by hand. Adjust stroke to 100%. Set the flow at 100%, turn the motor blades until the diaphragm in the most forward position. Hold the diaphragm rim counterclockwise and remove it from the pump drive end. 4.4 Replace the new diaphragm assembly and make sure the diaphragm support ring (700A) is in place. Holding the diaphragm edge, screw the diaphragm assembly into the male thread on the connecting rod (60) until it reaches the mechanical stop. 4.5 Set the flow at 100% and turn the motor blade until the new diaphragm reaches the rearmost position. 4.6 reset the pump head to ensure that the import and export correct, screwed into the pump head screws, assembly torque 45in-lb. 4.7 Set the flow rate to 0% and turn the motor blade. 4.8 Reinstall the motor blade cover. 5 Replacing the oil seal (50) 5.1 Disconnect the pump inlet and outlet from the system. 5.2 Remove the pump head, first in the import and export mark. Remove pump head screw (103) and pump head (370). 5.3 stroke adjusted to 100%, remove the motor blade cover, turn the motor by hand until the diaphragm to reach the front-most position. 5.4 Holding the diaphragm rim, turn counterclockwise to remove it from the pump drive end. 5.5 Removing the Diaphragm Support Ring (700A) from the Pump Head Center Section 5.6 Remove the drain plug (20) from the pump body and allow the lubricant in the pump drive tank to be exhausted. 5.7 Removing the Mounting Screw (700F) and Pump Head Intermediate Section (351) 5.8 Removing the Septum Seat (701) 5.8 Pull the Oil Seal from the Linkage (70) 5.10 Install the new oil seal on the Linkage. 5.11 Apply a layer of grease to the top of the oil seal (near the connecting rod) 5.12 Install the diaphragm seat (701) and the middle of the pump head (351) in reverse order. 5.13 Re-load the drive box with lubricating oil (650ml, Mobilgear 630) The diaphragm assembly (including the diaphragm gland (098A), the diaphragm diaphragm (098), the diaphragm seat (701) and the O-ring (438) 】, Pump head (370) and one-way valve components. 6 Reboot the dosing pump 6.1 Reconnect the pump to the piping. 6.2 Confirm that the flow rate is set to 0%. 6.3 Open the shut-off valve in the inlet and outlet lines and restart the pump. 6.4 Set the flow rate to 100% for rapid pump head exhaust. 6.5 After venting, set the flow to the desired value and lock the stroke lock screw (320).
